Refresh is Leaping Bunny Certified!
If you follow us on social media you know already that we’ve been granted a Leaping Bunny Certification for our NEW Triple-Brightening Daily Active Serum! We’re so excited and proud to have this certification and wanted to take a moment to clarify what exactly that means!
What the Leaping Bunny is
In 1996 eight national animal protection groups came together to form the Coalition for Consumer Information on Cosmetics (CCIC). Which holds a single and comprehensive standard on cruelty-free products released to the market. Products that meet these standards are granted the Leaping Bunny logo.
Their standards are the most comprehensive, and also the strictest out there. Any company with the Leaping Bunny logo has proven beyond a doubt that their product is cruelty free.
Our Certification
Our Brightening Serum is the first in our product line to be granted this certification, and we are so proud. It is an intense process to get any product certified with that logo.
It starts with us; we cannot be a direct party to animal testing of any kind in our products. They tour our facilities and factories and have pages of forms to fill out at the factory where our products are made. Then, our ingredients must be considered. If any of our ingredients don’t comply with the standards they’ve set, we have to remove them and replace them with something that does. We then have to implement a Supplier Monitoring System that ensures any of our ingredients are not going to be tested on animals.
It limits what countries we are allowed to sell to as well. Certain countries require animal testing on certain products, and to have our Leaping Bunny certification we have to ensure that we will not allow this to happen.
Having our serum Leaping Bunny certified is so rewarding, we’re listed in their directory now! Each product has to go through these steps, so our journey with the CCIC and getting our certification is not over yet, one by one, each of our products will be confirmed to meet the highest standards in cruelty-free practices.
